This professional learning opportunity will provide district and building administrators with an understanding of effective literacy practices at the elementary and secondary level.
Following an overview of literacy practices aligned to the science of reading, administrators will learn how to set up systems that support teachers in implementing the practices in the classroom. Administrators will be able to apply knowledge of effective literacy practices to defining expectations for the literacy block, scheduling for all tiers of instruction, selecting and monitoring the use of instructional materials, and collecting data on the implementation of structured literacy practices in the classroom.
