The newly formed Ohio Department of Children & Youth's website is now live. The URL is https://childrenandyouth.ohio.gov/home. The website says the following about the transition process:
"The Department of Children and Youth was established on July 4, 2023. During the following months directors or their designees from legacy agencies – the agencies with child-serving programs that will transition to the new department – are developing a detailed plan to implement the transfer of duties, functions, programs, and staff. The full transition to the new department will occur no later than January 1, 2025."
The Office of Early Learning and School Readiness is beginning to transition to the new Department of Children and Youth.
