The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce designed the Support Schools Tool to help districts, schools and community schools track the implementation of their One Plans. The Support Schools Tool contains questions that help district, building and community school leadership teams reflect on and adjust the implementation of their One Plans. The Department has updated the Tool this year to focus more on the necessary data needed to evaluate the One Plan.
All districts, schools, and community schools can access the tool. ED STEPS Cohort 3 schools that are designated as Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) and Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) are required to complete the Support Schools Tool survey for the current fiscal year (FY25). The districts that contain these schools must also complete the tool. Any school that exits identification in January will receive a notification from the Department that they are no longer required to complete the tool. All schools, regardless of identification status, are encouraged to complete the tool as an aide to evaluate progress.
The tool will open for use in February 2025. School and district team members can access the survey through the ED STEPS Dashboard or the Monitoring Application in the OH|ID portal.
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce will host a live webinar on Thursday, February 6 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM for Support Schools Tool users.
